I can hardly believe that 8 years have passed since we established our custom building facility promoted under the name of Regent Classic Organs. When we produced our first marketing literature we had already achieved 3 instrument sales and so the literature necessarily contained a lot of images of these instruments. Our private mission was to be the best digital organ builder in the UK and hopefully in due course gain international recognition with overseas sales.
As I write this today we have now installed over 25 instruments in the UK and Ireland, and we are shortly about to welcome our first overseas customer to the Regent Classic family.

None of this would have been possible without the input from two vital partners. In Italy the development of the ‘Physis’ sound platform by Viscount International has resulted in an excellent sound engine with amazingly authentic sound quality and wonderful voicing flexibility. Work continues there to improve what is a software based sound source and it just keeps getting better. Past customers can benefit from this as it is an easy task to load new software to past instruments and bring them fully up to date.
In Bideford we are delighted to work with Renatus who have a small and dedicated team of people experienced in the building of pipe organ parts, facades and of course consoles. They only have one quality standard – the best. It is a real pleasure to see customers faces when the instrument is delivered. The console quality is exceptional and the customers pleasure is only exceeded when they hear the instrument for the first time. We share that joy that is something perhaps unique to the organ lovers. I am sure our pipe organ builder colleagues have an even greater sense of anticipation as they have to wait for months as the instrument slowly comes together, while we only have to wait a few days!

I have had a passion for church organs since the tender age of 12.
