Classic English Cathedral Style Console with 88 voices over 5 divisons
This cathedral-style console was commissioned by our managing director and owner as his home practice instrument and shared pride of place in the music room along side a William Hill pipe organ dating from 1875. The keyboards are of boxwood with rosewood sharps. The piston rails, draw stops and key cheek strings are also in rosewood.
The fourth ‘Solo’ division floats across the three main divisions, the stops being managed from the tab rail above the swell manual. The music desk utilises burr oak veneer adding detail to the console which is also made from oak.
The console is enclosed by glass paneled doors featuring gothic style tracery. A short roll top lid can be drawn to close the top of the console. The instrument will be sold with a new 10 year parts warranty and new external amplification and speaker system. The customer will also be able to choose new UHT keyboards at an additional cost of £5000 if they so wish.
£75000.00 including VAT and installation in a UK venue.
Between 2018 – 2020 this organ was used as temporary instrument while the pipe organ was being rebuilt by Harrison & Harrison. You can read more about the Canterbury Cathedral installation and hire. This instrument was recently returned from Canterbury and now looking for a new home.
We have also recorded several videos with Dr Joseph Nolan playing this bespoke digital organ in Selby Abbey; for example the complete performance of Widors 5th Organ Symphony .
